How the workday count is worked out
Weekdays (Monday to Friday) between today and your date, minus your yearly vacation and public-holiday allowance scaled to the time left. It’s an estimate; sick days, part-time schedules and a phased retirement will shift it.
In the US, the full retirement age for Social Security is 67 for anyone born in 1960 or later (SSA). In the UK, State Pension age is 66 and is legislated to rise to 67 between 2026 and 2028 (GOV.UK). Your pension or employer plan may use a different age.

How many workdays until I retire?
The tool counts Monday–Friday days until your retirement date, then subtracts the vacation days and public holidays you expect to take each year.
Can I count down to a retirement age instead of a date?
Enter your date of birth and target age and the countdown uses the day you reach that age.
